As part of a Super Blog Team-Up crossover, the boys look at The Shadowline Saga, four interconnected "realistic" super-hero titles created by Archie Goodwin and written by D. G. Chichester & Margaret Clark that were published in 1988 under the Epic Comics imprint! The emphasis is on Doctor Zero, an eight issue series about a near-immortal "Shadow Dweller" of great power who pretends to be a costumed savior while secretly manipulating Cold War politics! Mister Fixit, Diabolu Frank and Illegal Machine also take a brief course on "independent comics" and tour other failed Marvel imprints ahead of their being folded into the Marvel Universe proper as part of Secret Wars 2015! After six non-consecutive weeks of blathering on about prospective movies that are mostly in the spit-balling stage with no fo'reals actual news to process, Illegal Machine, Mister Fixit and Diabolu Frank are finally going to shut up, but not for another, like, 90 minutes or so! There's still a lot to discuss with the barest of facts, including the casting for Jessica Jones and Luke Cage on their Netflix Marvel series and Daredevil (01:12), then Justice League Parts 1 & 2 v Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 & 2 (14:42); plus some left field coverage of X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Deadpool (35:13)! Finally, the Mighty Marvel Mail Bag (37:37); where Mac & Frank almost catch up with a few weeks worth of accumulate mail for about twenty minutes! And that's it! Episode art tumblr here!
